Dizziness
Do you suffer from a whirling, spinning or dizziness feeling? If so you are not alone, it is reported that up to 50% of adults will experience dizziness at some point. There are many causes for dizziness, one of these is benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), which is a condition of the inner ear. We can assess for this using the Hallpike-Dix test. This helps us to determine if your inner ear is the cause of the dizziness. If this is the case then the Epley Manoeuvre can be simply performed by our trained health professional. We are pleased to welcome a new Physiotherapist to the Iveson Clinic team.
Laura Palmer joined us recently at The Iveson Clinic. She will be working at the clinic on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as well as offering home visits.
Laura qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2007. Laura worked for the NHS for the first five years of her career, in different areas including elderly care, respiratory, neurology and musculoskeletal.

Completing The Lakesman Triathlon in Cumbria
Katie McLernon, one of the physiotherapists at The Iveson Clinic, recently took on the daunting challenge of completing the Lakesman Triathlon in Cumbria (comprising a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride followed by a full 26.2 mile marathon, all within a 17 hour time limit.)
Katie and her sister Lucy took part to raise money for charities which had helped their mum, Carol, who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in 2016….. To read more click on the green header above….

A New Physiotherapist
A new member of staff has recently joined the Iveson Clinic, or rather an old colleague has returned!
Katie McLernon qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2010 and began work at the Iveson Clinic in 2011 on a part-time basis, as well as working for the NHS for several years. She then went travelling and worked abroad…. To read more click on the green header above….
